In the past, I always thought some of French desserts look honorable and indifferent. I have ever asked my father-in law about the origin of Saint-honoré and la religieuse, is that related to the religion? I did not exactly get the answer till now. After sometime, I tried some of them, the sweet and the flavor caught my attention. I just understand how charming they are; they are no more far away.

Saint Honoré takes the name by the patron saint of patissiers, Honoratus, while the religieus takes the name by it's shape which recalls a monk or a nun. Lovely works indeed Rosanna

Rosanna, thanks for the sharing. I checked from wikipedia just now and found it's a long long story. It's interesting to know the origin. For me, France is a charming country composed of complicacy but French dessert is unique and extraordinaire.
