Workshops in Taipei 2019台北暑期手作課程安排

I am not only on the way preparing for SIMP Dollhouse Show but also several handcrafted classes in Taipei in July. Welcome to contact me if this might interests you; I might be lucky to see you in the classes.  :)
All the classes are given in Mandarin Chinese and English. French is of course available.
準備巴黎秀展的同時,我也一邊做七月回台的袖珍課程準備工作。離上次回台北開課已有七年之久了。希望這次有機會再和大家見面,一起玩黏土,做袖珍!

Some little decorations & accessories for Easter cakes in 12th scale were made. They have been staying in my work table for two weeks since I had no inspiration. This morning I encouraged myself to complete the project.Voilà! Several pieces to represent my best wishes...

Tartelettes aux fruits et au chocolat- CDHM online Tutorial

In 2009, it was the first time I attended the class in CDHM Forum and I was inspired with the techniques that the tutors shared with us. This is where I started my road of miniature creations in polymer clay. I appreciate so much the Forum organizes the basic courses for the beginners like me.

In 2010, I gave my first class “1:12 French Macaroons” in CDHM Forum and it’s published on CDHM The Miniature Way September 2010, Issue 8.

In 2011, I was absent for some personal reasons (the book and the show etc.) and now I am back.

I am pleased to tell you that I will share again a little tutorial with those who loves to make miniature food in CDHM Forum next Saturday, 12th May. As long as you are forum members, you can register and participate the course online. Hope you will enjoy making the fruit and chocolate tarts with me.

Expect to see you there!

« Bon Miam Miam »

When we find something tasty, we usually say “c’est bon”, “c’est très bon" but when we talk to children or familiar friends, we migjt say “Miam” or “Miam miam”.

I was thinking to create my own biscuit brand name, I found it quite fun and naughty to make the combination “Bon Miam Miam“ which express "tasty and delicious" in a cheerful way!

So, this is a custom-made for a very nice customer.
He likes very much Bon Miam Miam biscuits and wants some to decorate the room box.
Hope he enjoys the little chocolate brownie and raspberry tart biscuits! :)

Long for Italian food

I have been keeping quiet and taken a break for three weeks. After my family and the hubby left, I read magazines, took a nap on the sofa every day during the first week. It was unbelievably cozy. I adore hide behind the little moment of idleness. XD

I thought I should try something that I have never made to enhance my experience cause I have been just playing clay for three years. These two weeks I tried to make some canning of tomato, different ingredient and components for my mini pizza and spaghetti.
I also made some packages and pizza boxes for “Oiseau deNim’s Pizzeria & Ristorante”. I hope the black pizza box does not look strange. :P

some spaghetti and vegetable gartin

some chilled pizza...

July is always a special month for me. Yes, the 4th July was the 2nd anniversary of my blog and yesterday was our 4th anniversary of marriage. We reserved a table in the restaurant “Le Lisita” near the arena of Nimes. The weather was great and the food was delicious!

Now, I am thinking of a thanQ giveaway for my blog’s followers. I will make the next post soon.
Enjoy the weekend friends! :)

French Pastry Party *the 2nd series*

I am crazy for the mini French pastry and box making. I often apply “lace and birds”, which are two of my favorite elements on my design. They are also the symbols of love and passion. It’s agreeable to keep the packages simple and elegant! *It’s also easier to fold and glue.

For the pastry, I made some fruit tarts, profiteroles, domes and cream puffs this week. I got some inspiration from one French recipe book. I “stared” at the photos everyday and tried to tune the right colors. Eventually the result is not bad!

Now you can find them in my Etsy shop.

Saint-honoré à la rose

In the past, I always thought some of French desserts look honorable and indifferent. I have ever asked my father-in law about the origin of Saint-honoré and la religieuse, is that related to the religion? I did not exactly get the answer till now. After sometime, I tried some of them, the sweet and the flavor caught my attention. I just understand how charming they are; they are no more far away.

The diameter of each Saint-honoré is 8mm. If you like it, it's easy to find it on my Etsy shop!

2010 wishes & resolution!

It’s been a long time I don’t play the mini food. During the past 3 months, we went back to my hometown, and then continued house hunting till Christmas. Fortunately we did find one lovely house; if everything goes smoothly, we’ll move in April. That means I will have my own "professional studio" instead of playing clay on the dining table every time.

It takes some time for me to be back to the world of mini since I was out of practice.
Here I’d like to say thank you to someone, because of his guidance, I could be back and return to this BIG family "faster".
I would also encourage myself to make progress. Of course could not be as lazy as in 2009. XP

Below are my new works. Via them, I'd like to wish Happy 2010 to everybody even it has slid in February, a month to be in love...
