Flower of April- Peonies

I have chatted with a friend about a dreamy wedding scene recently. I started to make some peony bouquets since I believe peony is popular and welcome for most of brides.

After seeing these flowers in full bloom on my craft table, I suddenly became conscious that I needed to force my chef to be back to the tiny kitchen. She has been spending too much time in the garden.

Have a cozy weekend and hope you love my tiny flowers, friends! Don't forget our giveaway either! :o)

Mini Tin Cans and French Market Bag

I have been thinking to make some metal things for a long time. These mini tin cans are not exact metalwork but I am glad for the first step and expect to do some soldering in the coming weeks.

Inspired by Marie (Le Petit Monde de Merveilleux de Marie), I tried weaving a French string bag this week.

It’s not finished yet because I don’t figure out the way of closing. LOL  I have ever made some tatting lace in 2009 but it is as painful as the bag weaving for me.  It kills not only time but also my life.  :o)

It’s a cheerful Friday today cause our two furniture have just arrived this morning. I will decorate one of them with my dolls and miniatures after the hubby comes back from the business trip next week.
Hope you like this post and have a great weekend, :-)

Champagne, Roses, St. Valentine's Day

I wish I could be a romantic girl! :o)

I was fond of making pastry boxes and finally some ideas occurred to me on Sat. I made some paper bags to go with the champagne. They are great for the occasion, aren't they?

Flower and plants making is my current projects. I would love to play and enjoy the happiness when learning creafts.
The orchids are one of my favorite works.
Dimension of vase: 20x8x25mm

I re-make some flower baskets too. Dimension of basket: 30x20x35mm

Some roses in a bunny planter!

Except good wine, flowers, who says women don't need some luxuries to show off?! These (the real ones) would be very nice presents for St. Valentine's Day!

People say French is romantic but this saying is not suitable in my house. Will go out later and buy some chocolate for my big bear. Happy St. Valentine's Day, friends!

Flower Baskets, Lunar New Year & AIM February’s Issue Magazine

A mixed post.... :D

I continue making some flowers and oval baskets recently. I also tried a square one on Sunday evening but I did not get a good result. Will have a try again this week.

The chef of my mini kitchen goes temporarily on the strike. I hope she will be back soon! LOL

Today is the last day of the year of Tiger; most part of Asian people now is having the family reunion dinner. I went shopping yesterday and will prepare a very spicy hot pot for this evening.

I know a Shanghai girl, who marries a French, in the school since last year. In this city, we are the only ones who could talk with each other in Mandarin. Now we both often drive out, go shopping and have lunch in restaurants together. She, her husband and their big dog will come to our home and celebrate the New Year’s Eve with us.

Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone!! Here I wish you great fortune and great favour in the coming Rabbit year!

Another very important thing is AIM February’s iMag is out! I have downloaded the file and will read the topic of this month ‘Shabby Chic’ in the cozy afternoon. Enjoy it! :o)

Garden Hyacinth: flower of spring

When I returned in Taipei, I visited K.T.(minihouse) and asked for a lovely ‘training’--- making a pot of g graceful Hyacinth!

In fact I have admired K.T.’s work for years. After we decided to go back to Taiwan, I called her and asked if I could join her workshops.

I was very lucky and have spent several days with her. She has acquired mastery of sculpture; she is also like simpatico and frank sis! I do like her!

Each petal of Hyacinth, as you can see, is cut with a pair of scissors; K.T. told me it was always better to start with larger scales than the smaller ones. I spent several hours in the course and just finished this pot. But it’s worthy to wait!! :D

So, this week, I started making some Hyacinths at home. All of them are made in air-dried clay (ADC) and in 12th scale. It has been a long time I don’t play with ADC but still love its translucent effect. The diameter of the smallest pot is 8mm and 7mm high. They are darling, non?! :0)

Inspired by Carol, I also made some baskets this week. They are very simple ones but will try someting different with MyFrenchCuisine next week!

Bon dimanche!
