Easter Chocolate Hen Cakes

Rest calm and keep cool! We hide and make miniatures at home.😍

The French president 🇫🇷 has announced since Thursday evening: all the schools in France will start to be closed on 16th March till the worse situation passes. With the coming Easter holidays, the kids will stay home with me during at least 5 weeks. 😱

This must change our working schedule but it’s a CORRECT decision. I want to continue, making miniatures silently as much as I am able to. Stay sage my boys! 🙏

Stay safe everyone! 🌺

Easter & Engagement Cakes

I am happy finally I decide to restart a pastry project. It's true I have been worrying about the fact I did not have so much inspiration and wondered how to create and catch the details of real sweeties.
For 2020, I hope there will be more to come! :)

Happy Easter

Some little decorations & accessories for Easter cakes in 12th scale were made. They have been staying in my work table for two weeks since I had no inspiration. This morning I encouraged myself to complete the project.Voilà! Several pieces to represent my best wishes...

« Bon Miam Miam »

When we find something tasty, we usually say “c’est bon”, “c’est très bon" but when we talk to children or familiar friends, we migjt say “Miam” or “Miam miam”.

I was thinking to create my own biscuit brand name, I found it quite fun and naughty to make the combination “Bon Miam Miam“ which express "tasty and delicious" in a cheerful way!

So, this is a custom-made for a very nice customer.
He likes very much Bon Miam Miam biscuits and wants some to decorate the room box.
Hope he enjoys the little chocolate brownie and raspberry tart biscuits! :)

Happy Easter

It’s a busy weekend! We have been working in the garden because it was full of weeds. Phew! Very soon, my parents and my in-laws will come and check the status.
I wish all the friends a very Happy Easter with some little chocolate, even it is already 7pm in France! :-)

The hot air balloon chocolate is the hubby’s work! LOL

One year anniversary giveaway

It’s getting hot in France these two weeks. After coming back from Paris, I hide myself at home. One reason is avoid the sunlight and high temperature and the other reason is fight with my new toy---a sewing machine.

When my in-laws were here with us in May, they tried to teach me the basic function because I knew nothing about this but would like to make some curtains for our new house. In fact this is an excuse! The main purpose is I want to make some mini tissue and also imagine that I will be capable to make beautiful clothes for my dolls someday. ^o^

I tried hard to manage this stubborn machine last week. I felt shame to present any working result and hided incomplete pieces in the drawer. I need more advises or an instructor to train me. XD

So, this week I am back to my FIMO stock and the pasta machine. My Etsy shop looks dull for a long time. I want to try some more different things after SIMP inspiration but I make eventually some French candies and biscuits as a souvenir of my one-year-anniversary on Blogspot. Yeah! I started my blog on 4th July 2009 and I am really pleased to know so many friends from here. I do appreciate all my followers who support and keep company with me.

As you can see, I prepare “French Calissons Set” as a giveaway. Calisson is a specialty of Aix-en-Provance in France. It consists of a smooth, pale yellow, homogeneous paste of ground almonds topped with a thin layer of white icing. It’s very sweet! This set contains 12 mini calissons, 4 nut chocolates, 3 biscuits roses de Reims and 5 waffle biscuits.

What you have to do is leave a sweet message here, my dear followers! You will definitely have the opportunity to win this sweetie! The lucky fellow will appear on 14th July, French time.

Have fun and Happy Independence Day!

Alice in Wonderland ◆Alice au Pays des Merveilles

During the weekend, we went to the cinema and saw the 3D movie “Alice in Wonderland”. The story is simple but the tea party scene is quite interesting.

After Alice dinks some kind of magic liquid, she becomes a tiny girl. Her little blue dress does make me crazy.

I imagine I could find some similar dress for my dolls but I find one stunning “Mad Hatter” doll on Etsy.

It's cool, non?! :)

My husband is going for business trip for two weeks. This time I don’t go with him cause I need to stay home and prepare to move by the end of April. So I got an extra Easter gift –a small bicycle! When I feel bored at home, I am able to go biking with my neighbor Elizabeth.

I passed a couple of cozy days last week and did not make any minis. I hope I can find some new ideas and inspirations to continue my next projects!

Easter Chocolate Collection *they are so cute!

Easter is coming.
I have seen many professionals, like Paris Miniatures, LINSMINIARTFORM, Tiny Deights and Doll House Kitchen, they have made so many inspirational Easter Eggs. I would like to try mine even I am so slow...

For me, the symbols of Easter are spring, flowers, grassland, and animals like birds, rabbits and chicken. But the most practical thing is we have a lot of chocolate to eat! XD

The rabbit chocolate I made is inspired from “LeNôtre” Easter 2010 collection; the unique chicken is from 2009 collection “Gallinette au jardin”. They are not made perfectly but when looking at these mini creatures, I do smile. :D

I also made some black Easter chocolate eggs and Mousse au Chocolat.

On TV, I have seen a lot of advertisement of the movie “Alice's Wonderland”. I definitely go to the cinema in the spring holidays!

Voila~Bonne fête!!

Cupcakes for your sweetheart & gentleman! [My Etsy online shop]

Still 4 days, St Valentine is coming. I am not good at words.
I seldom say some sweet words to my ex-bfs even my husband.
For me, happiness is just from the pure hearts that we have ever exchanged and many tiny things we have ever experienced together.
But I admit that sometimes the honeyed phrases are quite necessary and useful even at that moment we felt like vomiting but we laughed at the same time in the end.

I am touched and fascinated when reading some brief paragraphs or simple sentences. Here is one for St. Valentine's Day:

"Mon Coeur a rencontré le tien…Il est à toi… garde le bien!"

"My heart have encountered yours…It’s yours… take good care of it!"
--> I promise I will repeat this in Chinese in front of my husband on 14th Feb, no laughing.

Another thing is I consider what to do first for my own business on Etsy.
I believe it would be great for me since it’s part of my passion.
This will be also the first time that I start managing my own online shop.
So many details need to handle.
I just realize how much efforts the sellers need to prepare…
not only the creation parts but administrative procedure & responsibility need to take.

Okay, so eventually my Etsy shop is here:

Hope I will start smoothly…. *Praying!
